Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Spotted On FCC Certification: Full Specs, Features, Release Date Revealed

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4 after the much leaks and delay in August last year sporting a Helio X20 SoC and a massive 4100mAh battery. Now the fresh news is saying, that the successor Redmi Note 5 has reportedly passed US FCC certification, is hinting at an imminent arrival.

The US FCC certification for the said device was first spotted by The Leaker. The smartphone is expected to be priced at INR 10,999 for the 32GB variant, and INR 12,999 for the 64GB variant.

According to the NDTV, the Redmi Note 5 will have a 5.5-inch full-HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is also rumored to be powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core SoC or a 2.1GHz MediaTek Helio x25 deca-core SoC. The device will be coming paired with 4GB of RAM, and will come in 32GB and 64GB storage variants. The storage should be expandable via a microSD slot, up to 128GB.

For the camera section, the Redmi Note 5 will be sporting a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It will pack a 4000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. Apart from this VoLTE, Bluetooth, WI-Fi 802.11n, GPS, and USB Type-C port will be connectivity options that said device is expected are.

The device from Xiaomi should run on Android 7.1 Nougat-based MIUI 9. And it is said to be made available in Gold, Silver, and Black variants.

The Redmi Note 5 is expected to be release sometime in summer, and will first be launched only in China. After a month of release, the smartphone will make the way to the other Asian markets.

The price tag for the new Redmi Note is still hidden. However, it is probably that the device will be offered somewhere around the $200 mark.

Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 4X was also spotted on TENAA certification recently that means it could be available soon.
