Eminem 2017 Album Update: What We Know So Far

It's been four years since Marshall Mathers aka Eminem satisfied fans with a hit album. It's already 2017 and people are still wondering when the exact date of his promised album will be released. Back in October he announced on Twitter the new Eminem 2017 album is well on its way, followed by an 8-minute video entitled 'Campaign Speech'.

So far the video has already generated over 10 million views on YouTube. Everything from Donald Trump to Apple Watches were included in his no holds barred rap. If this is the same kind of reception he will get on his upcoming album, no doubt it's going to be a big hit once again.

Eminem 2017 Album

The last album Eminem dropped was back in 2013. It was entitled 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2'. Kendrick Lamar, Nate Ruess, Skylar Grey were included in the guest appearances. It skyrocketed to number 1 on US Billboard 200. This same album also won a Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2013 per trippedmedia.

Eminem's Take On Music Collaborations

Eminem wants to make sure that he's collaborating only with the best and the brightest in the music industry. That's exactly what he did with rapper Kendrick Lamar. He wanted to be sure that Lamar wasn't using any ghostwriters and can pen out some rap genius all by himself.

This interesting tidbit came from another musical genius himself, Ed Sheeran from a story shared to him by Rick Rubin. He invited Lamar in his studio for a possible song collaboration. So Lamar came with his mates in tow. But Eminem wanted everyone else out. Lamar had to do his own song on it's own and the engineer just came in to record it. His friends were not allowed inside.

So he did as he was told. He wrote a verse and they listened to it. Eminem then told Lamar he did what he did to make sure he didn't have any ghostwriters. Thus the song, 'Love Game', a track from Eminem's 2013 album was born, per thefader.

With Eminem's passion and meticulous ways, no wonder he has so much respect from fans and colleagues alike. But everyone will just have to patiently wait until Eminem 2017 album is released. It will definitely be worth it.
