It's normal for celebrities to get pitted against each other. Whether it's their brand, their music, or exactly how much they're worth- net worth, to be exact. And people have always been curious who's made more money the past several years: Taylor Swift or Beyonce?

Beyonce Knowles

As of December last year, Beyonce's net worth shot up to $419 million. $202 million of this came from the box off hit 'Formation' World Tour. Together, the power couple Beyonce and Jay Z have a combined net worth of almost $1 billion.

Since the start of her solo career she's had 65 singles, 12 albums, five of which have become platinum upon reaching sales in hundreds of million units. She has also gone through seven concert tours and several films, not to mention her multi-million dollar endorsement deals.

Beyonce's 'Lemonade' had already sold approximately 1.6 million copies globally. That's another $1.5 million in her bank account per Money Nation. So exactly what is the biggest source of Beyonce's net income? Her concert tours. She has earned more than $600 million from her concerts and just $37 million from her music sales. However, her YouTube sales earnings are almost as big as that she's making from selling singles and albums.

Taylor Swift

In July 2016, Forbes named Taylor Swift as the highest-paid celebrity because of her earnings from June 1, 2025 to June 1, 2016 which reached $170 million. Huge credit is given to the colossal success of her '1989' World Tour. This made more than $200 million.

This was just one of the singer's important projects in 2016. She also co-wrote her former flame Calvin Harris' hit 'This Is What You Came For'. There's also Little Big Town's single 'Better Man'. Both tracks made $1 million.

Just recently Taylor Swift signed a contract with AT&T. Part of the deal was a pre-Super Bowl show the night prior to the big game. She's also getting into television. There's also Taylor Swift Now, which is dubbed as a 'new video experience' having thirteen chapters of exclusive Swift content.

All in all, the past five years have been amazing for Swift. Since her 'Red' album was released in 2012 up to the the game-changer '1989' in 2014 that became the best-selling record for that year, everything has been going up for the 'Bad Blood' singer per Hollywood Take.

Looks like everything's going great for both artists. They're completely different but are each making a mark in their own taste in music and brand. The checks will definitely keep on coming so long as the fans are happy.
