After months of speculation about his real health condition or whether or not he will be written off "NCIS," Miguel Ferrer finally succumbed to throat Cancer. The actor died at the age of 61. Friends and family mourn his death and he will be missed dearly.

Since the season began, reports started circulating that Ferrer suffered a stroke while filming on set. Viewers even noticed Owen Granger's (Ferrer's character in "NCIS") speech and onscreen mannerisms were a bit strange and he really looked like he was struggling just to deliver his lines. Rumors then broke out that he had a serious health condition. Something that had to be addressed immediately.

There have been no confirmation that the actor was sick since the showrunners nor his fellow actors in the show addressed these rumors. Finally, Ferrer's character is stabbed while in custody. The next scene shows him hooked in hospital machines in order to keep him alive. Speculations grew that his character will finally be written off, Tripped Media reported.

Miguel Ferrer Dies At 61

Finally on Thursday, the news broke out that Miguel Ferrer died on Thursday of throat cancer at the age of 61. Aside from "NCIS" which he starred in for seven seasons, Ferrer is best remembered for tv shows like "Crossing Jordan" and movies like "Iron Man 3" and "Robocop". He was the child of actor Jose Ferrer and the 1950's singer heartthrob Rosemary Clooney. He and George Clooney are first cousins.

In a statement obtained by Variety, Clooney said that Ferrer "made the world brighter and funnier." His passing is felt so deeply in their family. They love him so much, always have, always will. While "NCIS: Los Angeles" showrunner R. SCott Gemmill said that Ferrer was a beloved family member and a man of tremendous talent with powerful dramatic presence on screen, he also has a wicked sense of humor and a big heart.

Ferrer is survived by his wife Lori, sons Rafi and Lukas, and his other siblings. For other Miguel and "NCIS" news and latest update, keep it here on MStars News. Hit us with your feedback in the comments below.
