War is a period when trust is important, but for Rick's group, the trust factor might be a major issue when going against Negan and the Saviors. The synopsis for the second half of the seventh season of "The Walking Dead" was released a few weeks ago. It reveals a new focus to defeat Negan and also teases "treachery from people we trust."

Morgan Jones (Lennie James) is reported to have spoken to ComicBook about what "The Walking Dead" lovers should expect in the show's upcoming season. A war is coming and what makes things worse is it is not clear who Rick can trust as not all the good guys will work with him.

"On one level, it is very obvious that we are getting ready for war, and everyone who knows the comic books knows that we are about to go into a couple of years of war," James said. He added that he does not know how long it will last in the television series, but it was on for a while in the comics.

He said they are about to go to war and the second half is all about meeting the protagonists and certain events that are going to decide what sides people take, adding that it is not going to be a clear division of labor. There are some people who would go to the dark side and are going to take their opponents by surprise, and there are others who will come over to the light, that is all a matter of perspective.

He revealed that the only person whom from his perspective would betray Rick is the Morgan character and it is also possible that "The Kingdom" would not want to align themselves with Rick after discovering what his group did to the Saviors. Although, Negan killed two of Rick's men, Rick's group murdered the Saviors in their sleep.

It would not help Rick that Carol wanted desperately to leave Alexandria as she opened up to Ezekiel about the burdens she carried while living in Alexandria, saying, she did not want to be a killer and wants nothing to do with war, but Rick's actions forced her towards that direction, iDigital Times Reports.

It would also not be a surprise if "The Kingdom" fights for Negan instead of teaming up with Rick. It is also likely but will be surprising if Daryl fought for Negan, as he (Negan) might have possibly broken Daryl when he was held hostage.

Although, it seems unlikely now that he might go against Rick, Daryl is not to be trusted, as he can be capable of anything especially now that he is filled with rage.

Fans are trying to figure out who could betray Rick and the group to favor of Negan and arespeculating that the only person who would do such a thing is Gregory, who warned Negan and the Saviors when Rick plans to march on the Sanctuary.
