Basketball legend, Michael Jordan, 50, and former model, Yvette Prieto, 35, got married on Saturday in Palm Beach, Florida.
The couple invited over 300 people to their wedding ceremony at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Florida, according to US Weekly. Many of their guests were famous NBA stars and other celebrities, including Tiger Woods, Partick Ewing, Spike Lee and Ahmad Rashad, USA Today reports.
The marriage took place in a 40,000 square foot tent that local realtors, Jeff and Cary Lichtenstein, referred to as the 'largest tent in history,' according to The Huffington Post. The tent was also apparently 5,000 square feet larger than the couple's home.
The wedding was followed by a grand reception at a a luxurious private golf club called the Bear's Club in Jupiter, Florida, according to USA Today. The celebration included fireworks in the evening and entertainment by DJ MC Lyte, singers K'Jon, Robin Thicke and Grammy-Award winner Usher and The Source, an 18-piece band.
Prieto's dress was "a French silk voile corseted sheer sheath gown by J'Aton Couture, in an ecru palette with accents of flesh tones, with handmade silk lace created especially for her, and enhanced with Swarovski crystals," USA Today reports. "The gown featured French seamed crinoline borders, which cascaded into a dramatic cathedral train finished in the lace, with accents of a peacock-feathered design."
The wedding cake, from Edda's Cake Designs, was a seven layer rum cake in all white, covered in white fondant and sugar crystals and adorned with crystal brooches and the couples' monogram on the top layer, according to USA Today.
For their floral arrangement, the bride and groom selected white roses, peonies and tulips with accents of purple by Mark's Garden, according to US Weekly. After the ceremony all of the flowers were donated to the Jupiter Medical Center.
This is the second marriage for the former Chicago Bulls star after his previous marriage with Juanita Vanoy, which ended in 2006, according to US Weekly. The couple had been dating for five years before they were married and finally got engaged last December, according to USA Today.
