Steve Nash is not having a good year.  The Lakers guard was put on the injured list, He missed 24 games due to a fractured leg and 10 games because of hip and hamstring soreness, according to the Los Angeles Times and he watched as his team was eliminated out of the NBA Playoff's in Game 4 against the Spurs.  Now the All-Star point guard is facing a bitter custody and child support battle with his soon to be ex wife Alejandra Amarilla Nash.

Nash does not want to pay child support because he thinks his former ex wife will "spoil" their three children with expensive luxuries such as limos and other luxuries, according to TMZ.

An Arizona judge ruled in his favor.  Although Nash made her a millionaire 5 times over in the divorce settlement and she pulls in more than $30k a month; Amarilla is appealing the judges decision.

In 2010, just one day after the birth of their son, Nash announced he and Amarilla were getting a divorce, according to Life & Style magazine. He called the moment "bittersweet" and said he is committed to raising his children in a "positive, nurturing way," reported the Huffington Post.

"I'm focused on ensuring that our children understand how much they're loved and adored by us as they continue to adjust to these changes," he said at the time.

According to the Huffington Post, in December 2012, things turned ugly in their custody battle when Nash attempted to prevent Amarilla from moving to Los Angeles from Arizona.

A possible reason for Nash trying to keep his wife and kids in Arizona as oppose to relocating to California could be the difference in divorce laws from state to state.
