Jason Collins Carolyn Moos FIANCÉ? [PHOTOS]: NBA Player Comes Out, Former Fiancé Carolyn Moos Says 'I HAD NO IDEA HE WAS GAY'

Washington Wizards center, Jason Collins "came out" to Sports Illustrated as the first ever NBA baller to confirm his sexuality as gay.  While Collins concealed his sexuality from fans, team members, and family members-he also failed to reveal his "secret life" to his former WNBA player fiancé Carolyn Moos.

According to TMZ, Carolyn Moos and Jason Collins were together for almost a decade.  "It's very emotional for me as a woman to have invested 8 years in my dream to have a husband, soul mate, and best friend in him," Moos told TMZ. Moos says that Collins did reach out last weekend to tell her that he was gay, but his bombshell announcement in an essay with Sports Illustrated was still a stunner.

Collins had a double life as he successfully fooled many in his attempts to appear straight. "This is all hard to understand," Moos told TMZ.

Collins wrote in his open letter to Sports Illustrated that calling off the wedding was "one of the hardest things he had to do," besides lying to a women for several years about his true sexual nature.

Despite being blindsided by Jason's revelations. Moos wants nothing but the best for her former fiancé.  "I care about (Jason) tremendously and only want the best for him. I want Jason to be happy for a lifetime and stay true to who he really is, inside and out."

Carolyn Moos is a Stanford graduate who played several seasons with the WNBA. She is now a personal trainer and clothes ambassador.
