Motorola is reported to announce the specifications and details of the next smartphone flagships, Moto G5 and G5 Play in the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC), in Barcelona. The leaks that initially surfaced in Brazilian retailer listings reveal a handful of sophistication that the new Motorola's budget phone offers. The latest report indicates that Motorola is arranging a complete makeover that will include a fingerprint scanner at home button and a circular panel camera in the back.

According to a report from Phone Arena, Moto G5 is to have a 5-inch display, 3000 mAh battery that features Turbo Charge technology. The 5-inch display mentioned before will carry on a full HD resolution, and most importantly, the G5 series will ship the latest Android OS, Nougat 7.0. As for the outer embellishment, the G5 smartphones will be available in two colors, black, and gold.

Meanwhile, the cheaper version of G5 Series, namely G5 Play, will include a lot of special features that actually not too pole apart from its predecessor. Similar to G5, the G5 Play will also have a 5-inch display along with full HD resolution (1920x1080p). The smartphone's inner power ships a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core, 16GB/32GB storage supporting external storage, 2GB/3GB RAM, and Android 7.0 Nougat but the battery capacity is dropped to 2800 mAh. Then, there's 4G LTE connectivity and Bluetooth 4.1, 13 MP camera and 5 MP front camera, as mentioned in the listings.

Moto G5 series will likely be priced around $250 and above, depending on the series and specifications, so that means G5 Plus will slightly have a bigger price. The smartphone series is to be expected to release in MWC that takes place in Barcelona, on 26 February. If there is any delay, the company will possibly push the release date to the first week of March. So, until the event comes about, stay tuned for more information, and possibly another leak about price.
