PlayStation 4 ‘NieR: Automata’ Edition Set For Japan Market Debut

This month, fans will get a packed and exciting deal for the PS4. Sony and Square Enix have confirmed that a limited "Emil Edition" PlayStation 4 with a NieR: Automata theme will be released in Japan. Fans won't have to wait long as the model will be out late this month.

According to Siliconera, Square Enix will be rolling out the "Emil Edition" PlayStation 4 NieR: Automata-themed console on Feb. 23, 2017. The outlet has obtained a top cover for the platform. The cover looks dapper and adds to the unique qualities of the original design package that the console will come with.

Fans who will choose to purchase the "Emil Edition" PlayStation 4 console featuring a NieR: Automata theme will get the following: wireless controller in Jet Black, power cord, monoaural headset, a USB cable, and an HDMI cable. Players can also choose between two HDD options: 1TB and 500GB. The former is at 38,480 yen plus tax, while the second option is tagged at 33,480 yen plus tax.

Sony has been teasing the arrival of an "Emil Edition" PlayStation 4 that features a NieR: Automata theme for some weeks. Attack of the Fan Boy notes that the console highlights Emil's face as the character gives an eerie smile. As fans know, Emil is a very crucial character in the NieR series.

NieR: Automata is slated to launch in Japan on the same date that the "Emil Edition" PlayStation 4 console will arrive. The game is expected to deliver an appearance by Emil as he is the star of the exclusive platform on the way. Square Enix has yet to confirm the prediction.

The NieR series is a spinoff to the Drakengard games. However, it has made a name for itself over the past years.
