The cast of "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 will be rocked to the core as Darius Rucker is set to enter the roster as a guest star. He will be playing an important role in one episode. His character is expected to give McGarrett and his team a rough time.

Entertainment Weekly recently confirmed that Darius Rucker has been tapped to play the role of a bomb maker in "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7. The feds will be all over Rucker's character, Desmond Gamal. He is wanted for his connections with some attacks that were carried out in the Middle East.

Aside from being a bomb creator, Rucker's Desmond will also be depicted as someone who trains others in "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7. It turns out that while the CIA was training Syrian rebels, Desmond was holding his own training sessions for Boko Haram and ISIS members. A yet-to-be-revealed character will sneak him inside Hawaii and things will start to get tough for McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin).

It appears that Desmond is a high-prized man as the U.S. government has been trying to track him down for a couple of years. It remains to be seen if McGarrett and the others will be able to get a hold of the elusive villain in "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7. On the other hand, fans can expect an action-packed episode when Rucker's Desmond shows up.

Spoilers Guide notes that there is no air date for "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 Episode 18 yet. This is the episode that will feature the Hootie & the Blowfish" lead singer. CBS is expected to make an announcement regarding the said episode in the coming weeks.

Darius Rucker is known in the music industry for his projects with Hootie & the Blowfish. In 1995, he won the Best New Artist Grammy Award. His band also won the Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for their single "Let Her Cry." He bagged another Grammy in 2013 for Best Country Solo Performance.

Rucker's latest award was from the British Country Music Association Awards in 2015. His appearance in "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 is an addition to his television show credits. It may also be his big TV break if viewers will love his performance in the series.
