MacBook Pro 2017 Rumors: Specs, Price, Release Date

Last year, Apple wowed us with their MacBook Pro that boasts the "Touch Bar" that somehow replaced the functions keys integrated into most laptop keyboards. Four months later, reports and rumors of the 2017 MacBook Pro have surfaced. Here are the MacBook Pro 2017's specs, features, and possible release date.

Specs

The current fleet of MacBook Pros sports the 6th generation Skylake Core processors, which are decently old ones. Now, latest rumors say that the MacBook Pro 2017 will feature the latest 7th generation Kaby Lake Core i-series chips from Intel, reports TechRadar.

The previous MacBook Pros have also been critiqued for not having enough memory, with only 16GB RAM. The MacBook Pro 2017 will now have twice the RAM of the previous ones, having as much as 32GB RAM.

Apple might also integrate their newest chip that will work together with the Intel chips. This chip, according to Bloomberg, can apparently take over some of the processor's functions, making the processor work more efficiently, saving a lot more battery. This chip, dubbed the T310, is similar to the T1 chip that powered the "Touch Bar" of the 2016 MacBook Pro.

Price

Is it safe to assume that the MacBook Pro 2017 will be priced the same as the previous MacBooks? With the new technology being integrated into the laptop, it cannot be said that the MacBook Pro 2017's price will be on par with the previous ones.

However, it can be expected that the 13-inch version of the MacBook Pro 2017 will cost around $1,500. The "Touch Bar" won't be available on this model. Furthermore, the 15-inch version of the MacBook Pro 2017 will have the "Touch Bar" and will cost around $2,800.

Release Date

Apple, so far, has not confirmed the existence of the MacBook Pro 2017. But if they did, it is possible that it will be released during the 3rd quarter of 2017.
