Secrets will be revealed and investigations will intensify in Episode 3 of The CW's "Riverdale" series when Jason's autopsy reveals more shocking details about his death. As more suspects are placed under a cloud of suspicion, Archie finds himself caught between protecting Miss Grundy and wanting to help the authorities about the mysterious death of his schoolmate.

In the trailer for "Riverdale" Episode 3, Miss Grundy is shown pleading with Archie not to go to Mr. Weatherbee about the gunshot they heard on the morning of July 4th, fearing that their secret affair could cost her position at the high school, Teen Vogue reported.

The sheriff is also seen asking Archie is he was alone when he heard the gunshot but it was unclear how he responded to the question. Another scene from "Riverdale" Episode 3 shows Cheryl's mom lapping Alice Cooper for a yet unrevealed reason but this may have something to do with their animosity about Jason and Polly's failed relationship.

It can be recalled that Cheryl allowed herself to be taken by the police in the last episode because of what they found in the autopsy and the upcoming episode is expected to see her revelation about what she knows about her brother's death.

According to the synopsis posted by SpoilerTV, the episode promises to be an exciting one as Betty tries to revive the school paper with Jughead's help in order to launch her own investigation into the death of Jason Blossom. It may be partly to help clear Archie from suspicion after he confesses about what he knows to Mr. Weatherbee and the Sheriff.

The synopsis for "Riverdale" Episode 3 also hinted that Ronnie will team up with Ethel, a character who will be played by Stranger Things actress Shannon Purser, in unmasking who is circulating a shame book in the school. Despite his predicament, however, Archie keeps to his goal of breaking into the music scene and does his best to attend the Taste of Riverdale event where Josie and the Pussycats are expected to perform a song he co-wrote.

"Riverdale" Episode 3 entitled "Body Double" airs on The CW on February 9.
