Nathan Fillion will return to grace the small screens again in a "Castle" like character. According to reports, Fillion will guest on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" as a detective. Learn the details below.

Nathan Fillion's character in "Castle" was a writer-turned-crime solver. In "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" the star will take the role of an actor who believes he is skilled to be a detective just because he portrayed the character on TV, Entertainment Weekly reported.

This might sound funny but yes, that's how Fillion will join "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." Per the report, the actor will play the role of Mark Devereaux, who stars in "Serve & Protect" a show similar to "Law & Order." Jake (Andy Samberg) and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) are investigating a crime on the "S&P" set and Fillion's character will offer to assist the detectives because he assumes the same role on the show for decades.

Meanwhile, looking back, Fillion was a novelist in "Castle" who turned to be a detective after working with detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic). The tandem worked together to solve a recurring series of crime based on Richard Castle's books. Looks like Fillion loves playing the role of someone-turned-detective. Due to this connection, many are convinced that casting Nathan Fillion for the role is brilliant.

MovieFone suggested that things might be rough between Mark and Jake. The two will likely butt heads as detective Peralta will not take the self-proclaimed detective seriously. However, Mark will do his best. Let's just see how their tandem will turn out when "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" returns.

Meanwhile, aside from Fillion, Greg Germann will also appear in "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." He will play the role of Gary Lurmax, the executive producer of "Serve & Protect."

At the time, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is on hiatus and is expected to return sometime in spring. We will keep you updated once new details come in.

How do you find Nick Fillion's role in "Brooklyn Nine-Nine?" Do you approve of it? Do you agree that it has some connection with his role in "Castle?" Drop a comment below.
