Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald finally revealed their newborn son's name. The pair was clearly inspired by historical figures that they decided to name their baby after two great men in history.
On Monday, the "Counting On" stars announced that they named their baby boy Henry Wilberforce Seewald. Jessa Duggar and husband Ben Seewald revealed that the baby was named after two great politicians and authors, Matthew Henry and William Wilberforce, whom they thought as real heroes. Seewald explained that he got his son's middle name, Wilberforce, from a British politician and author who worked to abolish slavery. "He was someone who really walked with God and his closeness with Christ really fueled his life and all that he did," Seewald said as quoted by US Magazine.
As for the namesake, the couple initially picked the name Henry because Jessa seems to like it. "We just thought it was cute, but then there's also another great man of God named Matthew Henry who lived before Wilberforce; he wrote a lot of great commentaries," revealed Henry Wilberforce's father. According to People, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald announced the birth of their second son on February, 6, revealing the baby was born at 4:26 a.m., measuring 21 in. long and weighing 8 lbs. and 11 oz.
Naming the baby after a significant historical figure seems like a tradition for Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald. Their first son, Spurgeon Elliot, was named after a British preacher and author, Charles Spurgeon. The days before Spurgeon was born 15 months ago, Jessa and Ben announced their first newborn's name by posting Charles Spurgeon's sermons on Instagram. The couple is so excited to have two little boys so close together in age and expecting to see their little heroes grow to become best friends and out in the backyards playing football with their dad in the next couple of years.© 2019 Mstars News, All rights reserved.
