Arya Stark is perhaps not the only wolf that Maisie Williams portrays. The "Game of Thrones" cast reportedly has joined the Marvel Universe, just like her on-screen and real-life bestie Sophie Turner, by playing as Wolfsbane in upcoming X-Men spin-off, "X-Men: The New Mutants".

Maisie Williams' Wolfsbane speculation started when the director of the upcoming "X-Men: The New Mutants", Josh Boone, tweeted Wolfsbane illustration and mentioned Maisie Williams in the post. According to Comicbook,  Ashley Guillory's illustration that Boone posted on Twitter gives a glimpse of Rahne Sinclair a.k.a The Wolfsbane. Sinclair is a Scottish mutant that can shift into a wolf and is also associated with X-Men superhero team.

If the rumor turns out to be true, it wouldn't be a huge surprise since Maisie Williams has been speculated for the role since March 2016. However, 20th Century Fox soon denied the report ever since the rumor surfaced. The "Game of Thrones" actress has addressed the rumor without confirming or denying it. "I can't say much about it, but I would absolutely love to be a part of Marvel family. "New Mutants" is absolutely incredible, and Josh Boone is incredibly talented, so sign me up!" said the actress as reported by EW.

Besides Maisie Williams, other teen actors are also rumored to join the cast of "X-Men: The New Mutants". The two names that have been intensely speculated to fill in the mutant roles are Nat Wolff and Anya Taylor-Joy. Wolff, "Paper Towns" actor, reportedly will be playing the role of Sam Guthrie a.k.a Cannonball.

Director Josh Boone also hinted that the line-up of comic characters will include Wolfsbane, Cannonball, Mirage, Magik, Sunspot, and Warlock. "X-Men: The New Mutants" producer, Simon Kinberg previously said that he wants to bring young-adult-vibe to the film. The film is now being written by "The Fault In Our Stars" writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber.
