Last month, Reese Witherspoon was arrested for "disorderly conduct" while her husband Jim Toth was being arrested for an alleged D.U.I. Today on Good Morning America, the "Walk the Line" actress sat down for an interview with George Stephanopoulos and opened up about the incident for the first time since it happened. In the interview, Reese admits she "said crazy things" and apologizes once again for her actions.

"It's one of those nights, you know, we went out to dinner in Atlanta and we had one too many glasses of wine and we thought we were fine to drive and we absolutely were not," the actress said. "And it's just completely unacceptable and we are so sorry and embarrassed. And we know better. And we shouldn't have done that."

One of the most shocking things about this whole incident is that nobody would have guessed that Witherspoon would have acted in such a way. She has a great public image that has since been tarnished. When she was talking to the police, she played the celebrity card, meaning she asked them if they knew who she was and such. Stephanopoulos told her he could not imagine her to be the kind of person to say such things, to which she replied:

"I know, I agree. I have no idea what I was saying that night. I saw him arresting my husband and I literally panicked. And I said all kinds of crazy things. I told him I was pregnant -- I'm not pregnant! I said crazy things. And if you only hear me laughing (it's) because I have no idea what I was talking about. And I'm so sorry. I was so disrespectful to him and I have police officers in my family. I work with police officers every day. I know better and it's just unacceptable."

Reese has two children with ex-husband Ryan Phillipe and another child with Toth, so she explained in the interview how she handled this situation with them.

"We have to say, 'When you make a mistake you take responsibility' and we are taking responsibility and doing everything in our power to make it right and you just have to be honest with them," she said.
