The latest buzz on "Days of Our Lives" point to the exit of an Emmy Award winning star. According to recent reports, Vincent Irizarry may be leaving the series soon; he has reportedly completed filming.

Vincent Irizarry plays the role of Deimos in "Days of Our Lives." Deimos is infamously known in the "DOOL" universe for his character's tendencies to keep switching from the good to the bad side. This time, Deimos is the bad guy and fans aren't very happy about it.

According to Soaps, the reason for Vincent Irizarry's exit may have stemmed from the change of rule. Ron Carlivati, former "General Hospital" head writer, will soon take over the script for "Days of Our Lives."

Along with the changes in rule within the scriptwriters' circle of "Days of Our Lives," it appears that Vincent Irizarry's character will be affected. Representatives from "Days of Our Lives" have yet to officially confirm the news on Irizarry's departure.

Meanwhile, "Days of Our Lives" spoilers for Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 tease that Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will receive a load of bad news. According to Soap Hub, the Hortons will discover that they have lost one of their family members.

Julie won't be able to take the news lightly. David (Greg Marx) has passed away. As fans of "Days of Our Lives" know, the mother-and-son pair have grown apart over the years. This will greatly affect Julie as she regrets the time she could have spent with David.

The outlet notes that killing off a character who hasn't appeared in "Days of Our Lives" for years will most likely open doors for Valerie (Vanessa Williams) to return. It is speculated that Val will reveal the truth about her child's paternity.

Val's son is expected to appear in town now that David has died. Fans are to gear up for a big drop in the coming days. Eli, Val's child, is David's son and it remains to be seen how the "Days of Our Lives" universe will react to the child's arrival.
