Oscars: John Legend Will Perform 'La La Land's' 'City Of Stars'; More Performances This Year!

The Oscars countdown has already begun and just a few more days left for the star studded evening, here is some good news for all "La La Land" fans. By now it is known that the film has been nominated under 14 categories, including the Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Film categories. There is something more to it.

The popular original score of the film "City Of Stars" will be performed live by John Legend, according to ABC. The song has become a huge sensation amongst the younger generation, in-spite of its slow paced theme. "City Of Stars" is cherished and loved by almost everybody so far.

There is a good list of performers for the night. Stars like John Legend and Justin Timberlake will take to the stage during Hollywood's biggest night as all five nominated songs are performed. While, Tony and Grammy awards winner singer Cynthia Erivo of "The Color Purple" will perform at the Governors Ball after party. Here are some other nominees and performances that will take place at the 89th Academy Awards.

The beautiful new Disney anthem will be performed by Moana and the songwriter, according to Vulture. Lin-Manuel Miranda, will perform his song "How Far I'll Go" with Auli'i Cravalho, the 16-year-old newcomer who has given voice to the title character.

"The Empty Chair," will be performed by Sting, he has co-written the song with J. Ralph. The song is inspired by the life of a journalist James Foley, who was killed by ISIS in 2014. Sting's is nominated for the fourth time, while this is J. Ralph's third nomination.

Justin Timberlake will perform his feel-good hit song "Can't Stop the Feeling" from the animated movie "Trolls". Timberlake co-wrote the song with Max Martin and Karl Johan Schuster.

Oscar-winning singer-songwriter John Legend will also perform the "Audition" from "La La Land". In the movie, the song is performed by Emma Stone.
