PlayStation 5 is the major upcoming release from Sony in the console gaming platform. PlayStation fans are eagerly waiting for the release of PS5 since it has been more than three years that the PlayStation 4 was launched.

While the PlayStation fans were expecting a major release and update to the PlayStation 4, Sony released PlayStation 4 Pro also known as PS4 Pro. This console supported 4K gaming and VR (Virtual Reality) capabilities. It is considered as an answer to Microsoft's Project Scorpio.

Michael Pachter is an analyst from Wedbush Morgan and he believes that the next generation PlayStation console dubbed as PlayStation 5 will be launched on Nov. 15, 2020. According to the report, Sony is delaying the launch of PlayStation 5 as it wants to check how the Microsoft's Project Scorpio performs.

The much awaited PlayStation 5 is expected to be equipped with all the essential hardware for the best 4K gaming experience. It is believed that the company is working hard to make PS5 games compatible with the previous generation. The new hardware in the PlayStation 5 is massively improved in terms of raw processing power and it will be able to run 4K games at maximum settings at 60fps reported TrustedReviews.

As reported by TechRadar, the PlayStation 4 will be a disc-less console and Sony might come up with a different medium for games distribution apart from the internet. Sony might include a high capacity Blu-ray disc as the preferred media for distribution of games.

Virtual reality has emerged as one of the best technologies for a great user experience. The PlayStation 5 will support VR natively with the help of built-in hardware. By the time PS5 is out, VR gaming will be dominant in the industry. Sony is aiming for a wireless VR experience for PS5.

These reports are just speculations and expectations from the next generation gaming console from Sony. Since the PS4 was announced, there has not been a single update from the company about the next generation console. However, it is expected that Sony will work hard to make PlayStation 5 one of the best gaming consoles.
