Tom Hiddleston's Loki is arguably the most successful and most visible villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has since appeared in two "Thor" movies, as well as played the big bad in "The Avengers." He's slated to return in "Thor: Ragnarok," and fans can expect more mischief from the cunning villain.

In the final scenes of "Thor: The Dark World," it was revealed that Loki has been disguising himself as Odin, King of Asgard. This means that he has tricked and locked up Odin (Anthony Hopkins) somewhere well-hidden. In the mid-credits scene of "Doctor Strange," Thor sought the help of the Sorcerer Supreme in finding his father, a mission that is essential to the conflict in "Thor: Ragnarok."

Loki is not the only villain present in "Thor: Ragnarok." Cate Blanchett stars as Hela, goddess of death, who is hell bent on destroying all of Asgard. At some point, a Loki and Hela team up would've been conceivable, but such is not the case in the upcoming film. Instead, Hela's presence brings Thor and Loki closer together, even for a brief moment.

"Hela is a different beast and full of surprises and actually might have been someone with whom at one time he could've gotten along, but the circumstances have changed," Hiddleston says about the character.

"Cate Blanchett is playing the goddess of death who brings destruction in her wake. It's the kind of destruction that both Thor and Loki have never seen, on a scale of terror they've never ever seen before," Hiddleston tells IGN. "So, they fall back on their brotherhood fractured though it is to see what they can do to stop her."

"Thor: Ragnarok" is going to be a reunion of sorts for a lot of MCU characters. Mark Ruffalo is on board as Hulk and Benedict Cumberbatch is reprising his role as Doctor Strange. The latter has been receiving a lot of praise from fans since his MCU debut and has been wowing fans with his magical powers ever since. However, Hiddleston says that his character, Loki, is not at all impressed by Doctor Strange.

"I think he probably dismisses Strange. Yes, his sorcery is very impressive, but Loki's been doing that for centuries so who cares," Hiddleston tells the same publication.

"Thor: Ragnarok" hits theaters on Nov. 3.
