Microsoft Surface Book 2 Vs Microsoft Surface Pro 5: The Ultimate Battle of High-End Laptops

Though according to market figures that Apple is one of the biggest company in the computer business, Microsoft is going to kick up a storm with its new versions of Microsoft Surface Book and Surface Pro. Tech analysts are already mapping the effects of these game changing devices on the market as they are likely to make an impact.

The Redmond-based company is all set to reveal its next generation Surface Book and Surface Pro in the coming fall of 2017 as per the reports. The two gadgets to be released by this tech giant are going to be one of the most powerful devices in the PC category.

The Surface Pro 5 is said to sport Windows 10 operating system and will likely carry an Intel Kaby Lake processor under the hood. It will be supported by 16 gigabyte of RAM and 4K resolution screen. The device might feature a rear camera of 16 megapixels and a front camera of 8 megapixels.

If recent reports are to be believed, then both upcoming devices, Surface Book 2 and Surface Pro 5, will have 4K screens. The difference in this department might be that the Surface Book 2 will feature a bigger screen display and better resolution than the Surface Pro 5.  According to Forbes, Surface Pro 5 might mark Intel Core i7 processors. 

In the battery life department, these new versions can be expected to fare better than their current counterparts. The current battery can withstand about 5-6 hours with video playback which is not as impressive as Apple's MacBook line. The new versions can be expected to come with longer battery life because of the new generation processor which will be a seventh generation build with good performance. Surface Pro 5 could also feature USB C-Type, PCAdvisor reported.

Microsoft Surface Book 2 and Surface Pro 5 can be expected to be released with Windows 10 Redstone 2. As far as pricing is concerned, Surface Pro 5 might cost around $899 and $999 for the Core i5 and Core i7 version respectively. The cost of Surface Book 2 can be expected to be more than the Surface Pro 5, as it is the better version.
