‘Naruto Shippuden’ Episode 497, 498 Spoilers: Gaara Chooses Wedding Gift; Series’ End Nears

The madness seen in previous episodes continues in the upcoming "Naruto Shippuden" episode 497 as everyone in the village try to outdo each other in coming up with the perfect gift for their hero's wedding. This time, it would be the Kazekage's turn to experience the challenges that come with the hunt for the perfect gift for Naruto's wedding, an event that is already scheduled to be featured in "Naruto Shippuden" episode 498.

Recent episodes show just how difficult it is to come up with a unique and special gift for the couple as each one has a drastically different view on love and marriage. As a result, some of their friends came up with rather strange gift ideas, such as Rock Lee and his mentor Might Guy's dumbbells and Ten Ten's customized kunai.

Surprisingly, Choji came up with the brilliant idea of a gift certificate for a fancy dinner. But he bought three certificates for three instead of two because he plans to tag along for the food. Meanwhile, Shikamaru's wedding gift of a paid honeymoon in a hot spring resort seems to be the best. But the more interesting part of the story was that he convinced Temari to accompany him in checking out the place with the Sand shinobi thinking they were actually going out on a romantic date. But it now appears that someone will even top Shikamaru and Choji's brilliant wedding gift ideas in the coming "Naruto Shippuden" episode 497.

In the released "Naruto Shippuden" episode 497 preview, the Kazekage will likewise be having problems on what to give Naruto and Hinata during their wedding. However, Gaara seems bent on it being extravagant, GamesnAnime reported. Apparently, he might not be able to foot the bill on his own as his Sand companions suggest that they can split the cost of the gift.

While "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 498 will be a joyous occasion for Naruto and Hinata, it might be a bit sad for long-time fans of the anime series. The episode will not only feature the couple's wedding but it will also be the final episode of the series, ComicBook reported. After ten long years, the anime will finally be ending.

But only for a moment apparently, as fan's favorite characters will be back later this April. The spinoff "Boruto: The Next Generation" soon follows "Naruto Shippuden" and will feature the older versions of the previous series' characters. Older versions of Naruto, Sasuke and the rest of the gang will still be around but the focus of the spinoff will be the new generation, led by Naruto's son Boruto and Sasuke's daughter Harada.
