On March 19, a new arc for the "One Piece" anime will premiere and it will feature the highly anticipated "Marine Rookie" storyline. It is an anime-original arc that will introduce new Marine soldiers to fans. The new arc's plot will be very familiar to manga readers.

According to the Anime News Network, Weekly Shonen Jump's 14th issue for 2017 made the big announcement regarding the entry of "One Piece" into a new arc. The new arc's plot will focus on Luffy and the other Straw Hats traveling to retrieve Sanji. As manga fans know, Sanji disappears and Luffy and the others know there's something wrong.

While the new arc will not immediately enter the "One Piece" manga's Totto Land arc, it will introduce new characters. The new characters are Vice-Admiral Prodi, Bonam, Grant, and Sappa. Prodi appears to be someone Garp knows.

Meanwhile, fans are a little worried about the new "One Piece" arc. Viewers have been expecting to get an announcement about the beginning of the Totto Land arc. Unfortunately, Weekly Shonen Jump is set to introduce a new "One Piece" filler.

According to Comic Book, it appears that "Marine Rookie" arc is a "filler" arc that some fans may not be happy about. "One Piece" is known to have a small number of fillers. However, things may start changing soon as the anime enters a new saga that's originally for the franchise's anime version.

Amid rumors that fans may lose interest in "One Piece" due to the upcoming filler arc, the story promises lots of surprises. One of them is the surprising poster that Shueisha unleashed for "Marine Rookie" arc. Luffy is wearing a Marine jacket.

It remains to be seen why Luffy is wearing clothes that he disdains. Will "One Piece" break through the franchise's borders and see Luffy as a Marine ally? Garp always wanted Luffy and Ace to be Marines and it may happen soon. Stay tuned for more "One Piece" news and updates.
