Bill Clinton has seen a lot of success in his career since leaving the Presidential office, but news recently broke about a failed venture. The former President of the United States of America could not get Led Zeppelin to reunite for the recent Sandy relief concert. Apparently the legendary rock n' roll band simply said "no" to the former commander in chief, thwarting the attempts for a reunion of Led Zeppelin.

During the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors, the 42nd president met with surviving Led Zeppelin surviving members Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page in Washington, D.C. It turns out that David Saltzman of The Robin Hood Foundation and Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein asked Bill Clinton to get Led Zeppelin to play the Sandy relief concert. Unfortunately he could not pull it off.

In a recent interview on the podcast "60 Minutes Overtime," David Saltzman revealed the failed attempt by Clinton. Saltzman said:

"Harvey Weinstein had this great idea that we could enlist Bill Clinton to convince Led Zeppelin to reunite. . . The president was terrific - 'I really wanna do this, this will be a fantastic thing, I love Led Zeppelin' And Bill Clinton himself asked Led Zeppelin to reunite, and they wouldn't do it."

So it looks like a direct request from the President of the United State could not sway the iconic rockers! Though Led Zeppelin did not reunite for the charity event, the concert still raised over $50 million for Sandy relief.

Led Zeppelin has not played publicly since a one-night reunion in London back in 2007.
