The Duggar Family News: Joy-Anna Has Stricter Courtship Rules, Will Have Double-Team Chaperone

The Duggars are popular for their being conservative especially when it comes to courtship. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's children are prohibited from engaging in too much physical contact and Joy-Anna Duggar is facing a stricter courtship rules after her engagement by having a double-team chaperoned.

The "19 Kids and Counting" brood, whether they are girls or boys are strictly prohibited from hugging, holding hands and kissing. Once they are engaged, they can hold hands, such as the case with Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth.

However, after Jinger's speedy romance with Jeremy Vuolo, it seems that the Duggars are trying to slow down Joy-Anna's courtship by giving her an extra courtship rules that include a double-team chaperone, the Hollywood Gossip reported.

Per the report, Joy-Anna seemed to confirm the double-team chaperone in one interview where she dropped two names as their company. "We were going to go horseback riding and I decided to bring Johannah and Jennifer along because I knew that they would enjoy that," said Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's newly engaged daughter.

Aside from the double-team chaperoned, Joy-Anna's fiancée was grilled by Jim Bob when he asked the Duggar patriarch for permission to propose, People reported. When Austin Forsyth talked with Joy-Anna's dad the latter asked the young man what he liked in his girlfriend and more.

"A ton of bricks hit [Austin] one day and the rest is history," said John-David Duggar. This is not new at all to men who court Duggar girls.

Daily Mail reported that Jim Bob Duggar even uses a 50-page questionnaire to test his daughter's suitors. Jessa Duggar revealed that the questionnaire is "thorough" and covers different sections including the man's personal finances. The last man to answer it was Jinger's husband, Jeremy, and more likely Austin is next.
