"The Curse of Oak Island" finale is a big cliffhanger, and fans are waiting if they can get another season. With the show growing in popularity, there is no surprise that people will claim the show fake and such. Haters and fans alike should not worry too much, as the show is confirmed to have its fifth season.

"The Curse of Oak Island" is rumored to be canceled due to lack of details after the last episode. It must be the show's slow paced story telling that is making the interest of the viewer's decline.

As reported by Renew Cancel TV, "The Curse of Oak Island" will be renewed for season 5 by History. History's President and General Manager Jana Bennett stated that the rating performance of the fourth season is promising and the can pave a way to produce another season.

Bennett stated that the show has performed greatly in the past season. It was all thanks to Marty and Rick Lagina's audience-capturing storytelling and it makes the audience come for more week after week. It is not confirmed yet if this would be the last season.

It seems that to continue the show, there's a lot of convincing done. According to Starcasm, show producer Kevin Burns noted that the Laginas are very reluctant to have another season done. Eventually, the Laginas agreed to film another "The Curse of Oak Island" season. The biggest question now is, will they find the treasure that they have been searching for so long?

The last season of "The Curse of Oak Island" was the most successful so far. The ratings have been the highest and the finale titled "Blood Is Thicker" had the highest ratings of all the show's episodes so far. There is still no details yet about the next season, but at least it is known that there will be done.
