"The Voice" aired the second night of its Season 4 live playoffs on Tuesday as the eight contestants from Team Blake Shelton and Team Shakira performed for a spot in the Top 12.

The public votes for two of the three finalists to advance to the next round, while the coach saves one of the other two singers for the third spot on his or her team.

Holly Tucker of Team Blake revealed that she dealt with body image issues as a child and felt that she did not look the way a country star should. But the judges had nothing but praise for her on Tuesday after she belted out LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live." Adam Levine called her "beautiful" and "talented" and Blake said she was one of the people to beat in the competition.

Team Shakira's Karina impressed with her rendition of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" after a so-so performance in last week's knockout round. But she was so strong on Tuesday that Adam admitted he made a mistake in eliminating her in the early rounds and letting her slip away.

"I foolishly gave you up to Shakira. You are a talented, talented woman," he said.

The 16-year-old Danielle Bradbery, the youngest and greenest singer left in the competition, performed the classic Pam Tillis country song "Maybe It Was Memphis" and floored the judges. Shakira could only utter "holy crap" while Adam said she was "the one to beat."

"Danielle is one of the most important artists who's ever been on 'The Voice,'" said her coach, Blake Shelton.

Team Shakira contestant Sasha Allen ended the night with The Beatles' "Oh Darling" and, after Shakira gave her some pre-performance tips on how to sex up the song, won over the judges. Blake teased Adam for giving her up, while the latter said Sasha could win the whole competition. Usher complimented her look and Shakira said she has one the best voice the coach has ever heard.

Elsewhere for Team Shakira, Garrett Gardner performed a rather lackluster version of John Lennon's "Imagine" while Kris Thomas uncomfortably got through Bruno Mars' "When I Was Your Man."

For Team Blake, The Swon Brothers gave a mediocre rendition of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Fishin' In The Dark" while Justin Rivers brought a loose, fun energy to Diamond Rio's "Meet in the Middle."

The third and final night of the live playoff round airs Wednesday at 8 p.m.
