‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 News, Airing Date and Update: Ed Sheeran To Guest for Maisie Willia

"Shape Of You" British artist Ed Sheeran is reported to appear in HBO's hit series "Game Of Thrones" Season 7. GOT's one of the leading roles Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is rumoured to be the reason for Ed Sheeran's appearance in the set. Williams expresses that she is a big fan of the "Divide" artist.

In a conversation participated by Maisie Wiliams and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), D. Beniofs mentions that they have tried to give Ed Sheeran a role in the set for several years already. They want to realize it as a surprise to Williams and they think that they would be realizing it this July 2017 says Vanity Fair.

"Game Of Thrones" is very much known for starring Musical artist in cameo appearances in the set including Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol. It also includes Will Champion from Coldplay, Sigur Rós, and Mastodon; it now looks as if Ed Sheeran has joined those ranks.

According to Independent, executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed at a panel at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas on Sunday that Ed Sheeran will actually appear on "Game of Thrones" Season 7. The panel was moderated by stars Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner. HBO has confirmed he will have a role.

During the panel, they also confirmed the final season of "Game thrones" Season 8, will only be six episodes, making it the shortest yet. The writers also added they won't be back if the show does get any sort of spinoff or prequel on the network. "I think HBO might well do [another series] and I look forward to watching it and I think it would be great, but I think they should get new blood in."
