In spite of numerous rumors that Daft Punk would tour in support of their new album Random Access Memories, the news coming out of the robots' camp is that that is simply not true.

A representative for the French electro outfit told the Huffington Post that "no tour is planned."

While it initially seemed that Daft Punk would perform in Wee Waa, Australia, apparently the event will be nothing more than an online streaming party and the duo of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo will not be in attendance.

"Get Lucky," the first single off of the album continues to do incredibly well. It has already broken Spotify streaming records and held down the top single spot on the British charts this week. And the rest of the album is projected to do insanely well.

The buzz surrounding the first album from Daft Punk since 2005 is palpable and advance reviews claim that the album will deserve any success it achieves.

Even Bangalter seems surprised out how good his band's new album is.

"The thing we can ask ourselves at some point is like: We're making music for 20 years," Bangalter said in an interview with GQ. "How many bands and acts do you have that are still making good music after twenty years? It always sucks -- almost always, you know?"

Random Access Memories is out May 21 via Columbia.

CORRECTION: Initally, this article claimed that Pharrell Williams had mentioned a tour with Daft Punk, as reported by the New York Post. We have been informed by Williams' representatives that he never made this claim and have fixed the article accordingly.
