Ed Sheeran Identity Crisis: Prince Harry Confused For ‘Shape Of You’ Singer!

Ed Sheeran's scruffy, ginger hair, while being his signature adorable style is also causing him identity crisis. As it happens, quite a few celebrities sport the iconic red hair and with the rising popularity of Sheeran, many of them are being mistaken for him!

Prince Harry was one of the celebrities who admitted recently that people often take him to be Ed Sheeran. However, the England royalty laughed it off, giving off the impression that he does not mind being confused with the "Shape Of You" singer.

The younger brother of Prince William was invited to meet the children after a Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

A 12-year-old girl from the audience, Tiya, directed a question to an unsuspecting Prince Harry that caught him by surprise. "Are you the real Prince Harry?" she asked, to which the 32-year-old prince replied, "Yes, the other one is Ed Sheeran," People Magazine reports.

The hilarious exchange made it quite clear that red-headed Prince Harry, with his pale skin tone, was often mistaken for Ed Sheeran. Amusingly, Prince Harry is not alone when comes to being regarded as Ed Sheeran. "Harry Potter" star Rupert Grint confessed on "The Late Late Show" that he has gotten used to being called out on the streets by the name "Ed Sheeran".

Even legendary singer Leo Sayer mistook him for Sheeran at one point! In fact, Grint has given up trying to correct people's misperception nowadays and simply goes with the flow instead. "It's kinda 50/50 now. It's like if someone stops me, it could go either way. I could be Ed or I could be me," he added, Unreality TV reports.

Ed Sheeran's latest album "Divide" has whipped up a storm in music charts all across the globe, breaking records left and right. No wonder more and more people are have started recognizing to the extent that they are even mistaking British princes for him!
