Fans and audiences of the show "The Talk" were pulled back to the 90's as the intro of the classic TV series "Roseanne" played on the small screen. As the camera shifted to the set, a near-identical living room of the Conner family greeted the viewers, along with Dan and his daughter Darlene sharing a basketball game.

Taking a visit to the talk show on Patriot's Day, John Goodman didn't miss the chance to share a skit with screen daughter Sara Gilbert as they relieved "Roseanne." Being all grown up now, Darlene, played by Gilbert, took the opportunity to tell her on-screen father something important. According to Variety, Darlene admits that she is now a talk show host.

After breathing a sigh of relief, Dan candidly responds that he will support her, and so does his wife. This is, of course, a reference to Roseanne Barr, the titular character of "Roseanne" that lasted 9 years and 9 seasons. He then jabs back to Darlene, adding that he thought she will say that she was gay, to which she just suggests saving something for halftime.

They celebrities were not able to hold themselves from laughing afterward, following the burst of laughter from the audience. As People reported, Gilbert is indeed gay and was recently married to singer Linda Perry in 2015.

Being a staple part of the American TV diet from 1988 to 1997, "Roseanne" is centered on the life of the Conners as they go through the challenges of daily life. Living in the fictional town of Landford, Illinois, "Roseanne" and its working-class family was notable for realistically depicting how the blue-collar household functions.

Aside from Goodman, Gilbert and Barr, Michael Fishman played as son D.J. Conner, while Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke shared the role of Becky Conner in "Roseanne". Goranson and Chalke's shared role has been the subject of jokes in the series.

John Goodman can be seen on Kong: Skull Island that is now showing in theaters.
