Steph Curry Barely Got Into Rough Fights With Russel Westbrook During NBA Tournament

The match between Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder on last Monday night tournament was undeniably tensed. The audiences already had it predicted as the two team previously got tangle up after Kevin Durant returned to Thunder. As the game heated up, the players also fired up. Accordingly, the thing turned into a mess during the second half of this NBA match after Steph Curry and Russel Westbrook got ahead of themselves.

It is reported, toward the end of the second quarter, Steph Curry managed to pave his way to Thunder's hoop and about to adjust his position for shooting. On the opposite side, Semaj Christon who tried to defense for his team blocked Curry for aiming to his team rim. It leads to jostling match between them. Amidst the quarrel, Russel Westbrook made his way between Curry and Christon.

It does not turn down the hassle, instead, it provoked the two team even more. According to For The Win, Steph Curry and Russell Westbrook barely set to a fist fight if the official did not swiftly barge in. The game was paused for a moment so that both teams could calm their outrage. It took a while for them to resume the match and back on the track.

After the match, Westbrook clarified to the reporters his exact reason for stepping in the clash between Curry and Christon. Sporting News reported, Westbrook stated he was trying to protect his teammate from Steph Curry. As he saw Curry repeatedly pushed back Christon, he immediately butted in to call off this tension.

In contrast to this statement, Steph Curry claimed that Thunder player kept elbowing him as he was getting ready for his jump. At first, he tried to be composed but Christon once again shoved him back. He revealed he only maintained his position from Christon interference. However, it was taken differently by Thunder, thereupon it winded up a vicious fight between two teams.

This game was reportedly concluded with Warriors take the win with 111-95. But, the quarrel led to four players from both teams, include Steph Curry, Russell Westbrook, Semaj Christon, and Draymond put up with a technical foul. Apparently, the mood will remain dull for the two teams in the next game.
