Abby Lee Miller is quitting “Dance Moms.” The dance coach announced her resignation via an Instagram post on Sunday where she accused the producers of the show as treating her like dirt. Her resignation comes after the filming of the second half of season 7 wrapped. It is ironic that the controversial reality star who was often slammed for being a bully to her young dancers is now claiming to be the one manipulated and used.

The 50-year old Abby Lee Miller also hinted that the producers have told her to act like the big bad villain people see her as in “Dance Moms.” She said, “I don’t have a problem working with any kid, I love children and have dedicated my life to making other people’s children successful!” What she has a problem with is that she was being disrespected and used daily by, according to her, men who never took a dance lesson in their life.

Her statements have fans wondering why she now suddenly decided to throw her producers under the bus. Abby Lee Miller has been a part of the show for seven years and “Dance Moms” made her the household name that she is today. She didn’t bother with her image as a villain before.

Abby Lee Miller was charged with attempting to hide $775,000 of income she earned from “Dance Moms,” it’s spin-off, “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition” and other projects according to People. She was also indicted for creating a secret bank account to hide said income from 2012-2013. In August 2014, she was accused of divvying $120,000 and had her friends transport the money in plastic bags in their luggage. In January, she agreed to forfeit the full amount of money in Australian currency she snuck into the country.

Officials postponed Abby Lee Miller’s sentencing court date in February and reset it to May 8 reported Deadline. With all her legal woes, no one will be surprised if she will indeed end up in jail. Her cutting ties with “Dance Moms” would have happened sooner or later anyway. People may have just been surprised with how she went about it. Aside from her Instagram post, the dance coach has made no further comment on her resignation from the series.
