Cheryl Cole reportedly has plans to give up the music industry to be a hands-on mother to her son with Liam Payne. Instead, she wants the former One Direction singer to be the one to continue with his music career.

Cheryl Cole was busy in the recording studio during the early days of her pregnancy. However, the birth of her baby with Liam Payne changed her priorities. A source told The Sun that she no longer wants to focus on making new music. Instead, she wants to dedicate her time to bringing up her son. "It's not her No.1 focus anymore, even though making music remains a huge passion," the source said.

Likewise, the former Girls Aloud singer may pursue other lucrative business instead of making music. The insider added that following the birth of her son with Liam Payne, Cheryl Cole has been inundated with offers to promote baby merchandises. The market wants her to be the new face of various ranges of baby products.

The source said that the former "X-Factor" judge plans to follow in the footsteps of Myleene Klass, who now has her own range of childrenswear. This leaves Liam Payne as the pop star in the family if Cheryl Cole does indeed plan to quit making music.

Aside from motherhood, another reason why Cheryl Cole wants to quit music is her recent lack of success in this department. Her last single "Only Human" only made it to No. 70 when it was released in 2015. Her album of the same name also only grabbed the No. 7 spot.

Suffice to say, she has lost her magic touch in making music. According to Unreality TV, Cheryl Cole has not found the perfect inspiration for a new album or single. However, that might change with the birth of her son with Liam Payne. Who knows her new single could be a lullaby.

Cheryl Cole gave birth to a healthy baby boy on March 22. She and Liam Payne have yet to name their son, although Alfie and Taylor are top in their choices of baby names.
