'Code Geass: Akito the Exiled’ Set Its Release Date; Lead Voice Actors Is Announced

"Code Geass: Akito the Exiled" which has been delayed for several times finally get its fixed release date. It has announced earlier in January 2016 that its first two episodes will be launched internationally in December 2016. It was then postponed and later announced to be issued on Apr. 2017. Couples of time after that, the release date again got shifted.

As of now, Funimation has officially announced the exact release date of "Code Geass: Akito the Exiled", Comicbook reports. It was revealed this spin-off series will be handed out on June 27. This Japanese anime series will be available in English dubbed and subbed version. It consists of 5 discs and will be packaged in a Blu-ray and DVD Combo. Fans can get it with $48.74 by pre-ordering it now at Funimation website.

"Code Geass: Akito the Exiled" is an OVA series which is set between Season 1 and Season 2. The story has Europe during Britannian invasion as its setting. Amidst this riot, Leila Malcal as the commander of W-0 unit for the European army leads her troops to fight against the Britannian army. In this mission, she will be assisted by a powerful and mysterious lieutenant, Akito Hyuga.

Moreover, Funimation has disclosed that these two lead actors in "Code Geass: Akito the Exiled" will be played by two noted voice actor. Leila Malcal, the female lead, will be voiced by Jeannie Tirado. Jennie Tirado will provide the voice for Leila Malcal who is noted to be a kind and fierce commander. It is mentioned that behind her bold personality, her intention to topple Britannian army, simply and solely, is aimed to end the war.

Then as well, Akito Hyuga, a lieutenant in Malcal Leila's army will be played by Micah Solusod. Akito Hyuga in "Code Geass: Akito the Exiled" is addressed as Hannibal's Ghost and he is the genius for the Wyvern Squad. It is reported that Leila Malcal turns his desire to die soon into a persistence to keep alive.
