Val Kilmer has been making headlines ever since he started tweeting about his obsession with Cate Blanchett. While some have deemed his surprising reminiscence of love an adorable act, others have branded it nothing short of "creepy." Nevertheless, Kilmer has chosen to stand by every word that he wrote on his Twitter page.

Val Kilmer, who is known for keeping his Instagram page updated with an array of selfies, recently revealed in a candid string of tweets that he has always had an unhealthy craze for Cate Blanchett, People reports. "Once I flew all the way to Australia just to talk to Cate Blanchett," he wrote in a tweet, while in another, he confessed, "Once I did a cameo just to hang w/ #cateblanchett who picked up a shovel in our sc. I was so dazzled by HOW she picked it up I forgot my line."

The "Top Gun" actor further added that his obsession with Cate Blanchett has not died down with time. Val Kilmer admitted without any inhibitions that he recently dreamt twice about the blond actress, in both of which, Blanchett's husband, Andrew Upton, was absent.

One Twitter user called out Val Kilmer on his weird posts, remarking, "You're being super creepy and obsessive about now let is go eh." Kilmer, however, was not ready to be criticized on his feelings regarding Cate Blanchett, firing back at the user saying that it is not called obsession to genuinely love someone, Inside Halton reported.

The user replied back stating that Upton may not agree with Val Kilmer professing his love for his wife, Cate Blanchett, on social media. Kilmer put an end to the discussion by pointing out that Cate Blanchett has had to deal with the consequences of being so attractive her whole life. Hence, someone's heartfelt craze for her would not be something new to her husband.

Cate Blanchett has yet to acknowledge Val Kilmer's tweets about her. Both of them will be starring together in the upcoming movie "Song To Song."
