After staying tight-lipped for years, Suge Knight has broken his silence regarding the mysterious death of Tupac Shakur. According to the records' producer, it was his ex-wife, Sharitha, and Death Row Records security chief, Reggie Wright Jr. who were behind the 1996 tragic drive-by shooting that killed the rapper.

Suge Knight, the former CEO of Death Row Records, was accompanying Tupac Shakur the night that he was killed, revealed Knight's attorney, Thaddeus Culpepper, in an affidavit Mail Online reports. Knight has also claimed that he was the real target of the murder and Shakur's death was an unfortunate mishap.

Certain detectives admit that Knight's version of the story of Tupac Shakur's death lines up since Knight's ex-wife had the most to gain if he were to get hit and killed in the shootout. Also, at present that Suge Knight is in the prison for another murder case, Sharitha has partnered up with Reggie Wright Jr. running the Death Row Records.

This is not the first time that Wright has been accused of murdering Tupac Shakur, as he has also been accused of a number of murders in the past, although none of them could ever be successfully pinned on him. He has always been denying all the claims, suggesting that people plant "fake clues" all the time to frame him falsely. He even darkly stated that almost everyone who points a finger at him somehow or the other ends up dead.

"I believe in karma," he said back when he was first accused of murdering Tupac Shakur, Independent reports. "All these people are dropping dead. I keep telling people God don't like ugly. I hope people learn a lesson from this."

What finally made Suge Knight speak up, after all these years, was learning about the new documentary called "Tupac Assassination: Battle For Compton," that was going to be directed by Richard Bond and Michael Douglas Carlin. The documentary delves into the history of Death Row Records and everything that led to Shakur's death in 1996. Knight confirmed all the details that have been reported in the documentary, including the possible assassinators of the great rapper.
