The New York Rangers vs. the Washington Capitals battle it out on the ice at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC on Friday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the 2013 Stanley Cup playoff game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.

The Capitals snagged the no 3 spot in the NHL Eastern Conference with a 27-18-3 record. Washington currently holds the no 5 overall spot in the NHL post-season (out of 16 teams). According to Bleacher Report sports columnist Tom Schreier:

"The Capitals went from a "get in by default" team to a bona fide contender in the latter part of the season. And, consequently, the Rangers went from 'Yeah! We drew the No. 3 seed' -which looked like a harmless Southeast team-to a legit Capitals team. Alex Ovechkin is doing his thing. Mike Green is doing his thing. Nicklas "Don't call me Niklas" Backstrom is doing his thing. Braden Holtby is outplaying Henrik Lundqvist. A team from the Southeast is beating a team from the mighty Atlantic Division. John Tortorella admitted to the media that he never liked Marian Gaborik. OK, the last thing didn't happen, but some crazy (stuff) is going down in this series and Washington is all the better for it."

The Rangers ended the NHL regular season as the no 6 team in the NHL Eastern Conference with a 26-18-4 record. New York snags the no 13spot heading into the playoffs. As Schreier points out:

"The Rangers are the first team on this list that have only played two games. Maybe it is unfair to judge them based off a poor Game 1 and a close Game 2, but they just don't look in sync right now. The poor power play really stands out, and where are guys like Brad Richards and Rick Nash? Your best players have to be at their best in the postseason, and nobody is stepping up for the Blueshirts. This has to change now that the series has moved to Madison Square Garden, or the Rangers, a preseason Stanley Cup favorite, are toast."

Heading into Game 5 of the first round of NHL playoffs, the Rangers and Capitals are tied up 2-2.

The game will be broadcasted live on the NBC Sports Network, but fans can also listen in on the radio at ESPN 98.7 FMESPN 980, and 1500 AM.
