Twitter is in a frenzy as NBA retiree Charles Oakley has just blasted Dennis Rodman for the comments he dished about LeBron James. The former New York Knicks player has delivered very serious shade on the former San Antonio Spurs star.

The two retired NBA players have just started the beef but social media fans are already crazy over it. According to the Washington Post, Oakley drew the first blood after he pointed out that Rodman wasn't really "tough" back in the days. He also mentioned the highly controversial "wedding dress" that Rodman wore in the 1990s.

The outlet notes that Dennis Rodman has recently taken a jab at the shade that Charles Oakley threw. He said it would be great if the two of them would "catch up for a Knicks game." As NBA fans know very well, Rodman was referring to James Dolan's decision of kicking out Oakley from the Knicks.

Dolan, New York Knicks owner, removed Oakley from a game after the latter allegedly yelled at him. Oakley was then banned from the Garden and NBA great Michael Jordan tried to get the ban lifted. While the ban was removed, Oakley seems to hold a grudge against Dolan after all these years.

The huge Charles Oakley and Dennis Rodman beef started when the latter told CBS Sports that LeBron James is nothing like Michael Jordan. Rodman said Jordan wouldn't really take breaks in the middle of an NBA season. Fans know that King James has decided recently to take some games off.

According to TMZ, Rodman went on to cuss and made it clear that Jordan was much tougher than James. Oakley obviously didn't like the comparison even if the NBA's greatest player, Michael Jordan, is one of his closest friends. He stood up for James, clarifying that he thinks the Cleveland Cavaliers star is "smart."

GQ notes that both Charles Oakley and Dennis Rodman have had issues while they were still playing for the NBA. It is unclear if Oakley will respond to the latest tweet from Rodman. However, fans are looking forward to the two finally calling off the beef.
