Fleetwood Mac Mates Lindsey Buckingham And Christine McVie Announce New Album As A Duo

Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie have been working together as two of the members of the British-American rock band, Fleetwood Mac. However, the pair just announced that they have their first-ever duo album.

On Tuesday, the Fleetwood Mac members Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie announced that they have a new album together titled "Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie." The album will be released on June 9 and will include 10 songs from Atlantic Records, Chicago reported.

However, its first single "In My World" will begin streaming live on April 14 on various digital and streaming services. The album's track list also includes "Sleeping Around The Corner," "Feel About You," "Red Sun," "Love Is Here To Stay," "Too Far Gone," "Lay Down For Free," "Game Of Pretend," "On With The Show" and "Carnival Begin."

In addition to this, Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie's U.S. tour will kick off on June 21. They pair will stop at Chicago's Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island on July 3. For tickets, you can check it here.

Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie's collaboration started when the latter rejoined Fleetwood Mac in 2014. McVie has appeared on every album except the debut album. She left the band in 1998 but returned after 16 years.

"We were exploring a creative process, and the identity of the project took on a life organically. The body of work felt like it was meant to be a duet album," said Lindsey Buckingham in a statement, Paste reported.

"We acknowledged that to each other on many occasions, and said to ourselves, 'what took us so long?!'" Christine McVie said of their upcoming album. "We've always written well together, Lindsey and I, and this has just spiraled into something really amazing that we've done between us."
