The new album of Kendrick Lamar will be out on Friday but new details have been released about the track list. U2 and Rihanna will be featured on the upcoming album. Lamar has also unveiled the title of his 2017 album.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Kendrick Lamar has set the release date of "DAMN" for April 14. In a post on social media, the rapper also posted two cover art pieces for fans to see. The post has since received numerous likes and shares.

Fans are particularly interested in the songs that will feature Rihanna and U2. Kendrick Lamar is known for collaborating with other rappers. However, "DAMN" would be the first album that features the "Umbrella" singer. The same is true with U2.

News of a Kendrick Lamar new album 2017 gained momentum when Apple Music unveiled the new set of songs as a pre-order. Apple Music posted the pre-orders start date for April 7. There was no official title name revealed then as it was only listed as "ALBUM."

Kendrick Lamar has also confirmed that "The Heart Pt. 4" won't be part of "DAMN." The said song was released last month. While this is sad news for some fans, "Humble" will still be part of the roster. The single was unveiled earlier this month and has received mixed reactions from fans and critics.

Meanwhile, Slate Magazine reports that "DAMN" will feature a total of 14 songs. Most of the tracks are solo singles by Kendrick Lamar. However, "Loyalty" will see Rihanna and "XXX" will be a collaboration with U2. It remains to be seen if there will be other surprise features when the album releases.

In a recent interview, Kendrick Lamar revealed that his new album for 2017 is a tribute to his "roots." The 29-year-old rapper admitted that as he climbed the peak of success, he seems to have strayed away from his roots. This time, he's all about reviving his bonds with his community.
