The "NCIS" Season 14 Finale will have a big event that prompts Leroy Gibbs to make a life-changing decision. This decision may have something to do with his long-rumored promotion as NCIS director.

Executive producer George Schenck teased that the "NCIS" Season 14 Finale is going to be action-packed. He said that it is a "big action episode" and co-executive producer Frank Cardea advised viewers not to miss the last five minutes.

It is likely that fans will see Leroy Gibbs make a difficult decision in the last five minutes of the "NCIS" Season 14 Finale. According to the synopsis from Cartermatt, in this episode titled "Rendezvous," Gibbs, Torres, and McGee travel to a remote area in Paraguay for a rescue mission. The trio must tread carefully since violent rebel groups control the territory. The team is in the area in an attempt to find a Navy Seal who went missing during an unauthorized trip.

According to Cinema Blend, Gibbs makes a life-changing decision in the "NCIS" Season 14 Finale that impacts the team. Of course, his decision plays into the cliffhanger in the season that will ultimately stir the storyline for Season 15.

However, what could this decision be? The publication claimed it could involve Gibbs' long-rumored promotion as NCIS director. Perhaps his high stakes call during their mission to Paraguay lands him the position. The "NCIS" Season 14 Finale cliffhanger may hint at Gibbs taking over Vance's post when Season 15 opens.

Vance has since hinted that he wants to give up his post in exchange for a career in politics. Congresswoman Fleming enticed him to leave his position. In a previous episode of the show, Vance even offered Gibbs the role of NCIS director. Perhaps this is where the "NCIS" Season 14 Finale ends, with Gibbs telling his team about his decision to become NCIS director.
