Fans of the amazing Lee Min Ho are all over the news. The "Legend of the Blue Sea" actor has recently confirmed that he will start his military service this month. In a recent interview, the actor opened his heart about how he truly feels of this new venture.

As revealed by multiple outlets, Lee Min Ho will start his military service on May 12. He isn't the only actor who has joined the list of Korean stars who submitted to the mandate of the South Korean government. While some fans are supportive of his plan, others are heart broken.

According to Soompi, Lee Min Ho was honest in his recent interview with @star1. The "City Hunter" actor admitted that he is "a bit sad" about his enlistment. He clarified that he is sad not because he has been forced to enlist but because he is enlisting at a later time in his life.

Lee Min Ho went on to reveal that going late into military service helped create the person he is today. He noted that he wouldn't have been cast in numerous Korean series if he had gone earlier into the military. He said he is "lucky" to have been part of a hallyu generation.

Finally, Lee Min Ho was asked about the challenges he wants to face as a soldier. The "Boys Over Flowers" actor pointed out that having a "routine" would be a great challenge. Before ending the interview, the actor poured love to his numerous fans.

"I feel all the fans' sadness and their support," Lee Min Ho said. The South Korean actor and boyfriend of Suzy Bae went on to reveal that he plans to come back as a healthy guy. He also disclosed plans about a "great project" once he returns after two years.

Meanwhile, the English Chosun notes that Lee Min Ho will not be in combat right away. Instead, he will go through paperwork first. Later, he will go through basic combat training for four weeks. It is worth noting that the "Heirs" star has been exempted from hard military work and training due to injuries sustained from a 2006 car accident.
