In his Instagram account, Ian Somerhalder announced that his wife, Nikki Reed is pregnant. The post featured a photo of Ian kissing Nikki's baby bump. The couple is obviously overjoyed with their upcoming bundle of joy.

I can't think of anything more exciting than this next chapter and we wanted you to hear this from us first. This has been the most special time of our lives and we wanted to keep it between the three of us for as long as possible so we could enjoy this time with each other and our little one who is growing so fast...because that's what they do, they grow so fast. The "Vampire Diaries" star is eager to prepare for fatherhood, so he is planning to quit from the entertainment world. However, there is no detail as to how long the pair will rest from their acting craft, but more likely it will not be for good.

Some sources claimed that Nina Dobrev wasn't happy with the pregnancy announcement. Per the report, Ian Somerhalder's ex was devastated. However, one should take this report with a grain of salt because sources close to the stars and the celebrities themselves denied any bad blood between them.

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder just celebrated their second wedding anniversary. The couple turned to Instagram and exchanged sweet messages for each other. Nina Dobrev's former lover greeted his wife an hour earlier before the clock ticked 12 a.m. on April 26. He shared a video of him listening to the "Sleepy Hollow" star's song.
