"The Winds Of Winter" is rumored to be on hiatus again as author George RR Martin takes HBO Spinoffs Projects of "Game of Thrones" and his StageCoach  Foundation. The book was rumored to be in proofreading phase and was said before to be released this year.

It's been six years since George RR Martin has released a book from its "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. The next book is titled "The Winds Of Winter" which is the second to the last book of the series. Since Martin has been very busy in the past years, fans are starting to get impatient and asks once in a while when would the next book be released. It seems that they have to wait a little longer, as Martin just launched a foundation and is expected to be busy in a while.

StageCoach Foundation was just launched last Marc 16, 2017 at Martin's hometown in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The foundation's mission is to "create an environment where individuals and businesses can come together to create ad produce content in their respective fields" and is a major support for Santa Fe's film, education, and technology. One of the foundation's first project is to shoot in the 30,000 square-foot facility will be Joel and Ethan Coen's next film, as reported by Indie Wire. A delay of "The Winds of Winter" is presumed by fans because of Martin's new activity.

Perhaps, it is possible that the rumor about Neil Gaiman taking over the proofreading phase might be true after all. As reported by The Guardian, Gaiman was helping Martin in "The Winds of Winter" and will be taking over the proofreading job. "The Winds of Winter" is rumored to be launched after the finale of "Game of Thrones" season 8. It is a perfect time to compare the book and the TV series.
