Since “The Bachelor’s” Ben Higgins chose to propose to Season 20 contestant Lauren Bushnell over JoJo Fletcher at the start of 2016, he still hasn’t picked out a date for their wedding. Last week, Higgins said that he gets that people are interested on the date but they do not still know themselves. Bushnell however hinted that since they have been together for a year and a half now, they wouldn’t push it too far.

At the start of 2017, Ben Higgins, revealed that he knew that he and Lauren Bushnell needed to have made huge steps in getting married. Or, at least really have a good idea when they’re getting married by then. He admitted that wedding planning is difficult but they have been trying to do it.

It is easy to see why Ben Higgins has become gun-shy on his wedding with Lauren Bushnell. After all, their love story played out on national television in “The Bachelor.” They immediately were in front of the cameras again for another reality show, “Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After?” It was in their second show that Higgins shocked their fans when he candidly told his fiancé that he wanted to call off the wedding.

"I feel like we have so much to figure out that it's hard for me at this point to really feel comfortable getting married," Ben Higgins told Lauren Bushnell in one episode. He assured her, however, that he is not leaving her. On hindsight, their not planning a wedding yet has been really positive for them.

Contrary to what “The Bachelor” fans have been fearing, Ben Higgins revealed that it really got them excited about the idea of a wedding. Not planning about their wedding yet has freed up a lot of their time reports People. He and Lauren Bushnell have been enjoying that time and are not stressing about the confines of planning a wedding.

Today, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are still in love and although they still do not have a wedding date, the couple say that they are ready to start getting back in wedding planning mode. They also say that they are better than ever before according to ET. Lauren thinks that they need to have an ordinary life, away from the cameras and crew before they even think of picking floral arrangements and bridesmaid dresses.
