OnePlus 5 Specs: Flagship Killer Aims For Samsung, Specs Equals S8 But There Is Just One Catch

OnePlus 5 specs have been revealed via leak through AnTuTu and the specs might slam Samsung back in the dark corner. The flagship killer will also have an innovative camera that may rival Apple's iPhone. 

There is a lot of buzzing in the mobile industry right now, as OnePlus 5 leak has been revealed. And it seems like another name will be added to the rivalry between Samsung and Apple, OnePlus 5 specs revealed to be on par with Samsung S8. The leak was spotted in the android benchmarking site called AnTuTu. The leak confirmed OnePlus 5 to have Android Nougat, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and 6GB of Memory, as reported by BGR.

OnePlus 5 will also have 64GB of ROM and Adreno 540. But perhaps the most interesting feature it has is the camera. It is reported that the front and rear camera will both have 16 megapixels, suited for users who loves photography and also for the users who loves taking selfies. There are two rumors about the camera, which are from two different renders of the phone. One of the renders suggests that the camera will be in vertical and horizontal orientation. The other render suggests that the phone will be int he same fashion as OnePlus 3T.

But OnePlus 5 will have a disadvantage when it comes to its display. While Samsung Galaxy S8 will be bezel-less, the render of OnePlus 5 has a big top and bottom bezels, as reported by Gadgets 360. Samsung Galaxy S8's infinity screen might be more attractive for some users. The flagship killer will also have 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution (full-HD), and in this field, Samsung Galaxy S8 will be the uncontested winner.

 It has been reported before the OnePlus 5 will have 8GB or RAM. It might be an indication that OnePlus 5 will have two variants, like Apple's strategy in their iPhones and iPhone S variants. Either way, one shortcoming will be relieved by OnePlus 5's price advantage.
