Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green, both former judges on NBC's "The Voice," will return to the show for Season 5, according to The Wrap.

The site quotes an "NBC executive with knowledge of the situation" as saying that the two will come back after an absence of one season.

"We are not there yet, but working toward it," the executive said.

Shakira and Usher filled in the swivel chairs for the show's fourth season, which is currently in its Top 12 round.

The Wrap reports that Aguilera, who left the show after Season 3 to promote her album Lotus, has signed a contract to return to the show, according to an individual with knowledge of the deal. That same insider said the deal has been kept quiet for months.

The executive told the site that Aguilera will earn $12.5 million for the fifth season of "The Voice."

A different insider told The Wrap that the pop star made $17 million for Season 3, which made her one of the highest paid women in all of reality television. The insider said she could earn that amount again depending on how many hours she works.

Green would not make anything approaching that amount of money.

The network is also negotiating with Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, who have judged and coached on the show in each of its four seasons. An insider said both men are expected to return for Season 5.

Deadline reported that Shakira will depart the show at the end of this season, which ends on June 18.
