Eminem Surprise Collaboration in the Works? No Release Date Yet for Real Slim Shady New Album

Eminem has not released any song or album since 2013. It is no wonder then that fans of the “Real Slim Shady” have been asking when he is going to drop a new record. He has assured them recently that he has been working on a new album that he is considering to have an August 2017 release. But, ever since Eminem made the announcement on Twitter, he has yet to give more details on its development.

Eminem’s Twitter post is the second time that he confirmed that he has been working on new music. Back in October, fans asked him if he has stopped making new songs altogether. The “Love the Way You Lie” singer replied that he will soon be releasing songs that they should keep an eye and ear on. He tweeted, “Don't worry I'm working on an album! Here's something meanwhile." Eminem even attached a link to a politically charged new song, “Campaign Speech” to the tweet reports Billboard.

Speculations rose that Eminem will release his new album on April 9 surfaced because of a photo. Fans assumed the album release date when the “Lose Yourself” wrapper posed for a picture with his manager, Paul Rosenberg, in what appeared to be a convenience store. Written on the palm of Eminem’s raised hand was “April 9.”

The date has come and gone but no album was dropped. Fans of Eminem have not given up, however. They are now hoping that he will launch a few tracks of the new album during his concert tour in the United Kingdom this August. But, even if he does not reveal anything about the album, his fans are just excited to see him back in the music scene.

Another welcome development, although unconfirmed, say that Eminem will have an unlikely collaboration with Ed Sheeran. The acoustic pop singer recently revealed how Eminem’s rap songs helped him overcome his childhood stammer according to The Sun. Although Sheeran did not say about a future collaboration with Eminem, many are not discounting the possibility.
